A satisfaction survey was sent to 511 patients after being discharged from physical therapy. All patients were evaluated and treated by Steve Kraus PT.
The objective of the survey was to determine the effectiveness of physical therapy for TMD patients referred to physical therapy by the dental profession. “I did feel better somewhat during therapy. It helped me understand the way my muscles were contributing my pain. I still have muscle pain but least am aware of what to do to make it go away now. I am exercising and increasing my upper body strength and regularly relaxing my muscles – it is a struggle but am feeling better. However nights are still not that great for me overall and although muscles are doing better, there is neck pain and crunching sounds when I turn my head to the side and arm pain as of late. These are most troublesome currently.”
