Mr. Kraus earned his physical therapy degree in 1975 from Wichita State University, Wichita Kansas. In 1993, he received the Distinguished Physical Therapy Alumni Award. Wichita State University, Wichita Kansas and in 2004, Mr. Kraus was honored by the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia, as a pioneer / contributor to the physical therapy profession. Mr. Kraus is an Adjunct Associate Professor for the Division of Physical Therapy Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta Georgia. Mr. Kraus is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS), is certified in Manual Therapy (MTC), is a Certified Cervical Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT) and is certified in Orofacial Dry Needling (CODN).

Mr. Kraus maintains his enthusiasm for education. He has been invited to teach his TMD and cervical spine courses to over 300 private practices, hospitals, universities, conferences, and chapters/sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. He has been invited to speak to over 85 dental organizations to include such prestigious conferences as the 59th Anniversary of the American Equilibration Society, Thomas P Hinman Dental Meeting and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. Mr. Kraus has authored a number of articles published in peer review journals, author and co-authored a number of chapters on temporomandibular and cervical spine disorders appearing in various dental and physical therapy publications and has edited 2 books on the evaluation and treatment of TMD.

Mr. Kraus is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Orthopedic Section of the APTA. Mr. Kraus is a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, board member of The Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT) and Chair of the Application and CEU Review Committee of the PTBCCT.
